KARACHI –  President Mamnoon Hussain has said that Pakistan International Trade Fair (PITF 2017) will provide excellent opportunities for progress and improvement of industry and commerce.

The president further said PITF 2017 offers an exceptional interactive forum to the representatives associated with trade and leading industries of various countries and Pakistan. “PITF 2017 will prove to be an effective platform for introducing domestic products and increasing their popularity,” he added.

President Mamnoon warmly welcomed all the guests from Pakistan and abroad participating in this trade exhibition. He said, “I am confident that during the exhibition your deliberations and mutual contacts will not only be a source to enhance export of Pakistani products but also provide a golden opportunity to benefit from each other’s experiences.”

“The incumbent government has taken effective measures to restore law and order and to overcome the energy crisis and you are well aware of their positive results. Likewise, many facilities have been provided to industrial and trade sectors to Speed up the pace of economy,” he said.

Pakistan International Trade Fair (PITF 2017) is being organised from October 26 to 29, 2017 at Karachi Expo Centre. The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) and Badar Expo Solutions are jointly organising the international fair.

On the occasion, Sindh Governor Mohammad Zubair said this exhibition is an important element for strengthening trade capabilities and business strategies. “The fair will provide our exporters and manufacturers an opportunity to display a wide range of their products on a large scale, which is not possible when participating in exhibitions abroad,” he said.

FPCCI President Zubair F Tufail said PITF will provide a roadmap for future course of action for export-led growth and attracting foreign investment. He said that worldwide fairs and exhibitions business is growing much faster than existing facilities. In Asia, countries such as Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, China and India are also holding a large number of local and international exhibitions around the years. Exhibitions have a very positive and profitable impact on the introduction and promotion of goods and services around the world, he added.

He appreciated the endeavours of FPCCI Standing Committee on National Fairs & Exhibitions Chairman Hanif Gohar and Badar Expo COO Zohair Naseer for organising the PITF 2017 in a befitting manner. In his welcome note, Gohar said that international and local visitors will find PITF as a rewarding event for getting acquaintance with industry’s leading companies, exchanging of experience, introducing their innovative products & services, and opening up new horizons for cooperation between participating companies, hence this event is slogan as “gateway to the global markets.”
